Safety contact strips enhance safeguarding

Available from Scientific Technologies, Inc, the SGE series of safety contact strips features moulded end caps and wiring plugs that insert directly into the safety contact for simplified assembly. The co-extruded safety contact is an integral part of the profile, eliminating the time consuming task of threading a separate safety contact into the unit. The contact strips can be used to safeguard hazards such as gates, doors, machines and scissor lifts. The safety contact is housed in an outer covering of non-conductive rubber that allows actuation angles to 90 and also protects it from damage. This construction is said to offer low resistance, even in lengths exceeding 100m.
