Digital torque and angle wrench
September 1st 2006

A digital torque and angle wrench from Crane Electronics offers a high degree of accuracy for tightening safety critical joints.

Tension or clamp force determines whether a screw has been properly tightened or not. Factors such as cross-threading can give the false impression of high enough torque while the clamp force is well below the required specification. To avoid this, a second parameter, known as angle measurement, is used to ensure the fastener has been tightened correctly.

Angle measurement comes is optional on Crane's ProWrench Opta. The digital wrench can be specified as torque-only or torque and angle and offers various modes of measurement.
