Atlas Copco Tools has published a handy pocket guide called Error proofed production - Five steps to achieve zero fault fastening.

The full colour, A5 guide looks at how the company has defined five tightening process control steps towards zero fault fastening and how this five-stage classification is designed to help users make important error proofing and safety requirement decisions.

The 50 page pocket guide is well illustrated throughout and also features chapters on: tool management and process auditing; the new way of tightening; machine capability of tightening tools - how accurate is exact torque; and the three tightening tool condition classes in accordance with VDI guideline 2862.

A further chapter details thirdparty Error Proofing Cases, looking at companies including BMW, Daimler-Chrysler and InterBrew.
