IR cameras on show January 1st 2007 FLIR Systems says it has brought to market the first ever portable 640 x 480 infrared camera – the ThermaCAM P640. The larger detector provides more than 707k pixels or measurement points whereas the nearest alternative provides just 36k. This means the image quality is far superior and that the camera can be used at greater distances away from the target, an important development in the inspection of high voltage installations. This model will be centre-stage at Maintec Exhibition. The FLIR Systems' stand will focus on the depth of its range, models from every ThermaCAM series will be represented. Next in line to the ThermaCAM P-Series cameras for professional and dedicated thermal analysis is the ThermaCAM ESeries. These are aimed at those who conduct regular condition monitoring surveys and need good image quality, data collection, analysis and reporting. More articles from Flir Systems Ltd: |
