Predictive maintenance July 1st 2007 C-Cubed has launched its Pocket
VibrA V6, designed to show up
machine faults such as unbalance,
misalignment and looseness. It
also gives indications of bearing
quality, based on internationally
accepted methods. Alarms,
warnings and normal data are
colour-coded for easy viewing and
assets can be automatically set up
using a simple wizard. It is only
necessary to tell the wizard the
type of asset, for example motor,
pump or fan and its running speed
to set up the measurement points
and alarm levels.
All data is then trended using the
included FreeTrend software to
allow engineers to spot faults
before they happen. More articles from C-Cubed Ltd: |
