Preventive maintenance kits for drives
September 1st 2007

ABB has extended its range of preventive maintenance kits for ABB industrial drives.

Kits contain all spare parts needed to service drives at planned intervals in order to extend their service lives and minimise any risk of product failure and downtime.

New versions are available for the ACS600 and ACS800 series of drives. All kits contain a complete set of the components needed to service an ABB industrial drive at a given point in its lifecycle. The company says the kits are cost effective as they are packaged and delivered at a lower price than it would cost to buy all components separately. For example, a typical kit might contain replacement cooling fans, cables and capacitors.

As the kits are tailored to match the age and condition of the drive, they are generally supplied as an integral part of a wider package of services within ABB's Lifecycle Management Programme. They can also be bought off-the-shelf if the user can supply enough information to ABB.
