Quality give away
January 1st 2009

According to Shire, the regulatory and quality compliance requirements in the food manufacturing industry are onerous, with managers currently having to comply with the new, more rigorous BRC version 5 standard.

Facilities are increasingly awash with QA paperwork, with paperbased systems that, says Shire, can sap management time and constrain corporate performance.

To help alleviate the situation, Shire is giving away Food Sentinel HACCP-based total quality management software systems to five UK factories. Technical professionals and managers can be in with a chance of receiving this free gift, which includes one year's support, by applying to Shire. The systems will be given to those applicants presenting the best vision of the benefits the system will bring to their organisation and themselves.
