Self-lubricating
January 1st 2010

New slewing bearings from igus use two self-lubricating, low friction polymer sliding elements in place of conventional ball bearings. As a costeffective, low noise alternative, the PRT polymer slew ring bearing modules are said to be highly wear resistant, easy to install and maintenance-free. They are robust and have a high load capacity.

Housing parts are aluminium and use stainless steel screws. Polymer sliding pads are made of iglidur J material, which contains a solid lubricant, so it does not require additional lubrication.
