Touch of reliability May 1st 2006 Two new product enhancements for Scorpion Power Systems' range of generators ensures they will always start in the event of a power outage.
Scorpion's Weekly Exerciser automatically exercises the generator once a week to ensure that the generator will start in the event of a powercut.
The unit starts the engine and runs it for ten minutes to keep parts lubricated and to check for faults before shutting it down again. The Weekly Exercise can be programmed to run on or off-load.
Scorpion's Remote Dial Out detects problems before they turn into disasters. The unit monitors the generator and if a fault occurs, it automatically contacts up to four different numbers in sequence.
Connected directly to a BT landline or via a switchboard, the includes a battery powered back-up supply.
