Manifold options
July 1st 2006

The ease of assembly, toughness and weather resistance of Epco's Comer ABS pipe systems helped Epco win a major contract with a water treatment contractor for industrial valve manifolds.

Three applications were installed. The first project involved valve manifolds for multi-media filter vessels, the second for a large water softener and the final system is attached to carbon filters in a plant treating contaminated water from a railway yard.

Comer ABS has properties that make it suitable for these applications including high impact strength and ductility, good chemical, abrasion and UV light resistance, non-toxic and non-taint properties and high strain resistance for buried applications. Additionally, high strength solvent weld jointing allows efficient system assembly and modification.

The Comer range comprises ball valves, nonreturn, air release and foot valves.
