Low cost radar

A low cost radar device has been introduced by Endress+Hauser.

The Micropilot M FMR244 is said to offer all the benefits of radar technology (such as non-contact continuous measurement and measurement integrity during pneumatic filling) and has a competitive price tag.

The product is also said to eliminate the problems associated with product overspill.

Offering 26GHz frequency, the FMR244 horn antenna is suitable for a wide range of liquids and solids applications and is SIL2 compliant to IEC61508/ IEC61511-1 for use in safety-related systems.It has a measuring range of 15m in solids and 20m in liquids and operates in temperatures to 80°C.
