Monitoring makes sense November 1st 2005 Parasense, the energy monitoring and reporting company, has been instrumental in helping Kaysersberg Plastics achieve its energy reduction targets. Project engineer Nick Hitchcroft approached Parasense to recommend effective automatic monitoring and targeting systems to help achieve the company's aims.
Following a detailed survey of the production and plant area Parasense suggested the Smart 'E' system to monitor the energy consumption of a number of key electrical circuits within the Kayserberg plant. The data retrieved is translated into individually tailored reports reflecting the precise energy activity for each circuit. These reports enable Nick to identify patterns of consumption for each part of the plant and to streamline operational practices to improve the efficiency of production runs.
The system also includes a Smart Station Resource manager (SRM) to allow the Parasense Bureau remote access to the energy data. This facility allows the bureau to collate energy reports and translate them into an agreed format. More articles from Parasense Limited: |
