Observing machine components and other industrial work in detail is an essential part of any industrial process which is why PW Allen has developed a series of illuminated bench magnifiers. The devices were developed in conjunction with opthalmologists to make them easy on the eye while providing a top quality magnified image. They are of rugged industrial construction and provide X2 magnification via the 130mm dia precision ground and polished optical crown lens that gives a crystal clear view of the subject over a wide range of distances. For higher magnification, a X4 conversion kit is available. The standard M76 model has an adjustable spring balance arm reaching 450mm at full extension. There is also a long reach M7 model that has a twin elbow spring balance arm that extends to 850mm, making it suitable for large work pieces or where a number of articles need to be viewed at once. A shadow-free 22W circular fluorescent lamp provides white illumination that makes detailed inspection at increased magnification simple and accurate.
