Economical valves
January 1st 2004

The cost effective PremiSeal fig. 38 range of butterfly valves from Tyco Valves & Controls is suitable for use across a range of industrial applications, providing a wafer thin disc for good flow characteristics and head loss. Available in a wafer or lugged configuration, it provides bubble-tight shut-off control in both directions, and is also suitable for end-of-line duties to 16bar. Available with either a parallel flat or square shaft drive, PremiSeal is ideally suited for use with Tyco PremiAir pneumatic actuators or TVC electric actuators, but also comes in a manually operated version. The standard valve configuration consists of a ductile iron body and stainless steel disc. Its seat is of EPDM or Nitrile rubber. The valve is rated for use with pressures to 16bar, temperatures from -40 to 120C, and is available in sizes from 20 to 300mm.
