Compressed air water separators have been added by Beko Technologies to its Clearpoint product line. There are 18 models in the new range, with volumetric flow ranging from 35 to 31 240m3/h. Energy efficiency is a key factor. A swirl motion maximises separation and smooth housings keep the velocity profile constant across the varying flow levels. Smooth housings also minimise flow resistance. The separators are designed to be the first treatment process for compressed air and are located alongside the compressor collecting more than 60% of the condensate. A significant part of Clearpoints separation performance is due to the velocity profile remaining constant at different flow rates. The flow optimised design achieves an efficiency to 99% over a wide range of volumes.
