Enhanced wireless comms May 1st 2011 3M has launched an enhanced
version of its DECT-Com
Communication System to offer
users increased functionality and
excellent sound quality.
The 3M Peltor DECT-Com II
Wireless Intercom System has all of
the benefits of the original system,
which is said to provide an
outstanding communication solution
for noisy environments. Comprising
a base unit, handsets and headsets,
which are connected wirelessly, the
duplex system allows users to be
involved in clear two way communication,
or conference calls, with no
interruptions to transmission.
The enhanced system can be set up
for up to nine individual active users
(increased from eight in the DECTCom
I) while up to 40 additional
listeners can participate in the
conference. Each operator has their
own handset, which is connected to a
headset with built-in speakers and a
microphone, to receive and send out
communications. Listeners can 'break
in' and participate in the conference,
which will downgrade the earliest
active speaker, on a first come, first
served basis, meaning everyone in the
working environment can contribute. More articles from 3M UK Plc: |
