FOR PROCESS CONTROL
January 1st 2004

Tricool has introduced a new family of process thermoregulators. The Sheik range of oil temperature controllers can provide a maximum operating temperature of 350C. With 20 systems available, there is a model to suit most requirements. The base model, S6/300 offers a heating capacity of 6kW, while the top of the range S96/350 offers 96kW. Units to 12kW use a single heater element; those above 18kW use multiple heaters. The device operates on mains, tower or chilled water circuits. Systems are made from steel and have welded or flanged joints. Maintenance and longevity have been addressed with the use of magnetic drive seal-less pumps as standard. An in-built electronic controller automatically maintains stable and accurate process conditions. The standard controller is a self-tune digital pid controller, but other controllers can be fitted. Both heating and cooling configurations are offered, enabling users to select a unit to meet their particular specification. Tricool can also customise units.
