Greater intelligence

A new lcd programmable pushbutton from EAO is designed to provide greater intelligence and functionality for control panels. The switch combines simplicity with the ability to display any function as text or graphics, even animation, through an integrated lcd on the button itself, obviating the need for additional legends and labels. The lcd is multicolour and delivers clear, high-contrast images for wide-angle viewing. It is fully programmable and software-controlled, providing an infinite number of possibilities for displaying function. The colour of the back-light can be changed, and even made to flash, to present a change in function to the user or to alert them to a new status. After being pressed, it can immediately display a new legend, thereby guiding an operator through a menu of controls, reducing the need for training.
