Inflatable flow stopper

A simple, low cost method of preventing the flow of liquids in pipes is available from Huntingdon Fusion. Inflatable pipe stoppers are suitable for pipes from 50 to 2000 mm dia and come in a variety of shapes, including pancake style, sausage shape, spherical, rectangular and cylindrical. They can also be used as overnight devices to stop ingress of dirt and vermin. The stoppers have an inflatable inner section surrounded by a polyurethane coated outer cover that protects the bladder. The polyurethane coating gives the stoppers a low coefficient of friction and prevents build-up of static electricity as they are dragged through pipes. Each stopper is provided with a 2m length of inflation hose and a shut off valve. They can be used in difficult access conditions as they insert through holes as small as 50mm dia and expand to full size.
