Insulation for pipes

Insul-tube and Insul-sheet are flexible, synthetic rubber insulation systems with integral vapour barrier that are designed for use on pipelines and vessels. Manufactured by nmc (uk), they are suitable for a diverse range of applications where condensation control, frost protection, energy conservation and acoustics are important requirements. Both systems can be used safely across a temperature range of -40 to 116C and satisfy Class O fire rating. The tough outer skin prevents damage during installation and when the insulated system is in use. The materials closed-cell structure provides low thermal conductivity and a high emissivity surface and is cfc and hcfc-free, with an Ozone Depletion Potential of zero. Insul-tube is produced in 6 to 32mm wall thicknesses and 6 to 114mm bore sizes. Insul-sheet is available in 6 to 50mm thicknesses and 1m wide rolls. Sizes to 2m wide can be made to order.
