Sensors UK has been appointed UK distributor for the Dimetix range of laser distance measuring devices.

The DLS-A units make it possible to measure distances with millimetre precision, within a range of 0.2 to 200m. The device is a simple, flexible means of measuring without contact, useful when measuring in areas where access is limited or where temperatures are extreme.

The units are said to offer accuracy to 1.5mm, independent of measuring ranges and give a programmable 4-20mA or RS232C output. There are three digital outputs, two of which can be programmed as relay alarms.

The units require a 9-30V DC power supply and are IP65 rated for extreme conditions.
