LESS STRESS WHEN PUMPING
March 1st 2005

Areas of potential concentrated or localised stress on Codip airoperated pumps are said to have been eliminated due to the design and operation of the pump’s PTFE tubular diaphragm mechanism.

Available through Michael Smith Engineers, the range covers flow rates from 0 to 300L/min at discharge pressures to 10bar.

Standard pumps handle fluids with temperatures to 90°C; high temperature versions cope with 180°C. Pumps are operated by a compressed air supply via an independent automatic air distributor to one side of a flat rubber air diaphragm.

The company says it is virtually impossible for the pump to leak any process fluid.
