Light supply
July 1st 2006

When replacing machine tool lights, many companies don't realise that they need not go back to the original supplier, according to Waldmann Lighting.

The company offers a wide selection of lights that are specifically designed for machine tool applications. These include robust and watertight fluorescent tube lights, powerful halogen lamps and high performance LEDs.

They withstand the hostile conditions found in the machining zone and are designed to meet the requirements of the European Machinery Directive for machine tool lighting. As set out in EN 1837, this calls for at least 500 lux in the working area with no glare, shadowing or stroboscopic effects.

The company offers rapid supply from stock and free technical advice on how to achieve optimum lighting conditions for any task.
