They are also said to be among the quietest available and are capable of achieving decibel ratings as low as 47dB(A). This makes them suitable for installations that require an independent air supply, but where noise could cause health and safety problems. An independent compressed air supply can also improve safety by removing potentially hazardous gas cylinders from the workplace.
