Introduction of a metric motor adaptor for the FMI range of dispensers and metering pumps from Michael Smith Engineers means a significant increase in the drive options for FMI pump heads.

The new single and three-phase AC drives are IP65 rated, so are suitable for outdoor use. Also, DC drives and motors with gearboxes can now be close-coupled to FMI pump heads to provide robust, compact metering and dispensing units. The new drive options complement the traditional FMI drives that include fixed speed, AC and DC, along with variable speed and stepper motor drives and controllers.

The FMI range covers flows between 0 and 2000mL/min and the pumps’ ‘no valve’ design is said to eliminate potential problems from clogging or leaking valves.
