Open approach to bus cabling
January 1st 2005

Fieldbus systems can have a direct bearing on manufacturing flexibility and competitive performance. For their part, data bus cables enable high speed, high bandwidth transmission of data via device networks that connect field devices to control systems, without the need for input/output interfaces, saving time and installation costs.

Lapp’s Unitronic bus cable range offers the direct benefit of allowing the distribution of data much closer to (or even into) field devices, as well as reduced hard wiring, start-up time and downtime.

The company’s ‘open for all systems’ approach delivers solutions for major protocols such as Profibus, Interbus, DeviceNET and CAN.

Options include halogen-free cables for an environmentallyfriendly solution and increased safety in fire risk environments, and highly flexible data transmission cable for power chain systems.

Literature is available.
