Danfoss Drives and Pilz are collaborating to combine drives and safety technology.

Danfoss is to equip the VLT Automation Drive FC300 series of drives with an interface for the SafetyBus-p safe open-bus communications protocol. The drive already has integrated safety functions that provide users with a safe solution that fits into their existing safety technology. The bidirectional communications for the SafeBus system allow operation, parameterisation and diagnosis. Users can implement easily such functions as ‘safe stop’ or ‘restart protection’.

It is possible with the AutomationDrive to combine multiple Danfoss drives with the Pilz PNOZ multisafety system into a safe drive solution.
