UV system for small flows

Hanovia has introduced an in-line medium pressure UV system specifically for small flow industrial process water applications (to 120m3/h) in the food, beverage, brewing, pharmaceutical and electronics industries.

The Quantum system was developed using high-end computational fluid dynamics modelling software and meets stringent quality requirements.

The UV lamp is at a 25° angle to the flow to maximise contact time.

This in-line design minimises headloss and ensures optimum disinfection by ensuring all fluid passing through the chamber receives the minimum required UV dose. Power per unit length is lower so the lamp will last longer.

The Quantum’s local control unit displays UV intensity, alarms and an hours-run counter and can be sited in wet areas adjacent to the uv chamber. The power unit can be up to 100m away in a dry area.
