Valve helps relieve pressure

A combined pressure and vacuum relief valve has been introduced by Portasilo Bulk Handling Systems to protect silos from the damaging over- and under-pressurisation that can occur during powder filling and emptying. The Portasilo PRV350 complies with the guidelines issued by the HSE in its publications Guidance to prevent over-pressurisation of storage silos during the delivery of powder. The new valve, capable of venting 11 000m3/h in an over-pressure situation and 2000m3/h under vacuum, has been fully tested and certified with airflows in excess of 11 000m3/h under controlled conditions witnessed by the HSE. It is available in different materials and gasket combinations to suit a wide range of applications.
