Dries ready meals November 1st 2005 A dryer has been introduced by Secomak to dry ready meals that are packaged using post pack pasteurisation. Designed for use after the pasteurisation process but prior to insertion in cardboard sleeves, it is said to prevent the common problem of sleeves being damaged as a result of damp.
A variable speed conveyor enables the dryer to fit seamlessly into almost any packaging system, while also keeping process costs to a minimum. Labour costs too are reduced as suppliers do not need to employ extra staff to dry the meals by hand.
Suitable for most pack sizes, the dryer is constructed from food grade stainless steel and powered by Secomak's blowers. Features include a simple to use control panel, integrated access doors and robust wire belt drive. The unit can be hosed down and has water ingress protection to IP65.
