As a franchised distributor of Aaeon products, Display Solutions says the Boxer series of industrial controllers, for which it provides technical and applications support, has acquired licensing certification for use with QXN's Neutrino operating system.

The certification of the Boxer family gives the controllers the realtime capability to be targeted at mission-critical applications for the industrial automation, security, military and medical markets.

The company says the Neutrino RTOS and support tools will enhance the reliability and scalability of the Boxer series. A true microkernel operating system, it offers advanced memory protection, distributed processing, symmetric multiprocessing, POSIX APIs and a dynamically upgradeable architecture.

Offering vibration and shock protection, rated to EMC CE/FCC class and performing across the range -15 to 65°C, the controllers are suitable for tough conditions.
