Take care when choosing clips
November 1st 2005

Complex, high-tech machinery can frequently be immobilised when inexpensive components such as a hose clip malfunctions causing damage and often threatening safety.

L Robinson & Co (Gillingam) says that when failure does occur, the chances are that the clip will be sitting in a difficult-toreach spot that increases fixing time.

The company says that in recent years the market has been swamped by a plethora of mass produced hose clips from many countries and that these may not have the same rigorous quality and testing procedures.

L Robinson's Jubilee clips have proved safe, durable and capable in a range of clamping conditions and exceed the demands of the BSI.

Continuous band serrations allow ongoing tightening of the clip in order to achieve the required torque.

A certain amount of diameter flexibility can be obtained when using Jubilee if the correct size hose clip is not available.
