MAGNETICALLY COUPLED GEAR PUMPS

Magnetically coupled external gear pumps from Tuthill Pump Group are suitable for water and wastewater treatment chemical metering applications.

They are designed to eliminate such problems as pulsating flow, vapour locking and potentially lengthy downtime and are easy to control via 4 to 20mA feedback systems.

By providing smooth flow, the external gear pumps avoid fluid agitation, thereby eliminating the need for pulsation dampers. Smooth flow also makes the pumps flow meter and residual measurement friendly.

Vapour trapping is avoided as a result of the pumps’ flow-through design.

Capacities range from 1 to 38L/min at pressures to 17bar. Flow control is speed regulated and most standard, variable speed motors can be used to drive the pumps.

Units have a long life expectancy and, with only two working parts, they are easy to service in the field.
