MAINTENANCE CONTRACT SUCCESS

Winder Electrical has secured a contract with AEP Energy, operator of two of the biggest coal-fired power stations in the UK. The contract is for the Fiddlers Ferry site near Warrington and involves Winder looking after up to 50 transformers. Andy Pinkney, contracts and projects manager, explains AEP is focussed on ensuring that all its equipment is maintained to the highest possible standards and our job is to help them achieve this. We have to go round and visually check each transformer and report on its condition. These examination and report works alone will require a full Winder team on site for two weeks. The company offers clients a full maintenance package for both power and distribution transformers and for medium and low voltage switchgear, as well as for rectifiers.
