Specially designed workstations and benches from The Welconstruct Company have been supplied to Raytheon Systems for its ASTOR facility in North Wales. The ASTOR Programme will provide the UK with one of the most sophisticated ground surveillance systems of its type in the world. Workstations combine large surface working areas, display racks for storing product information packs and notice boards on the rear to display Gantt charts. These form the focal point of production meetings, enabling engineers to check progress at a glance. Avionics benches and drawing benches with interlocking features allow units to be configured to suit diverse requirements. Racking units provide safe storage and transportation for parts removed from the ASTOR aircraft. All the equipment supplied is mobile and of a modular design.
