NEUTRALISES STATIC CHARGES

Northern Tissue Group manufactures many leading brand tissues and has recently improved productivity on its facial tissue line with the aid of an Eltex depth effect static discharge system.

Supplied by UK agent Arrowquint, the system comprises R55 ion blower and R50 ‘depth effect’ discharge bar, installed after the interleaving and log delivery process.

The R55 ion blower and R50 discharge bar neutralise the static charges that build up on the last few folds of the finished log as it moves onto the cutting and boxing process, causing the edges and corners to dislodge.

Since installing the R55 ion blower and R50 bar, which are powered by a single compact Eltex ES50 power unit, Northern Tissue Group has seen an improvement in the performance of the cutting and boxing process and are delighted by the corresponding improvement to the productivity of the facial tissue line.
