New pump is IP66 rated
September 1st 2004

Acordis Acrylic Fibres UK has expanded its suite of Watson-Marlow Bredel pumps with the installation of the latest IP66 version from the 520 range.

Acordis uses pumps to replenish production line dye baths on a 24h/day basis in hot and humid conditions.

The pumps deliver cationic dye, that is 25% acetic acid, at flow rates between 60mL and 1.2L/min.

The IP66-rated pump is said to provide extraordinary levels of accuracy, reliability and control. It incorporates a high powered, brushless DC motor and IP66-rated case.

Rick Tunney, neochrome manager, says the latest 520 pump, that generates a flow rate of between 4µL and 3.5L/min, has proved easy to use. Featuring an autorestart function and a ‘max’ key for rapid priming and purging, it is versatile and sturdy.

Tunney believes there will be savings in pump set-up times and additional confidence when washing down.
