Amf bypass switch
November 1st 2006

An Auto Mains Failure (AMF) system is an integral part of many standby power systems. However, if a fault should arise with the AMF, its interconnective cables or control system, there could be a loss of mains power through the AMF's changeover switch.

Scorpion Power Systems has launched a mechanical AMF bypass switch which will switch the mains supply directly from input to output in the event of a fault. It can be installed as a part of an AMF panel. If a fault occurs, the switch can be operated to restore mains power supply to the load.

The switch isolates power from the AMF during servicing to minimise the danger of touching ENTER 333 Tel: 01206 792234 live parts while working on terminals.
