Low-pressure bursting disc
November 1st 2006

The latest addition to Elfab's Opti- Gard range has been developed specifically for low-pressure applications from 2psig.

Opti-Gard SoLo is described by Elfab as 'the most technically- advanced, reverse-acting bursting disc of its type on the market'.

Featuring a 95% operating to burst pressure ratio and a performance tolerance of just 3%, the device is said to offer the highest performance characteristics available for liquid, gas or vapour.

Tested to more than 100 000 cycles, SoLo is said to provide excellent cycle life and leak tightness.

The device come pre-fitted with Integral flo-Tel, Elfab's non-invasive, magnetic burst detection system which minimises downtime in the event of a disc rupturing. Flo-Tel only operates when a disc has ruptured, thereby eliminating false alarms.
