Condensing energy costs
September 1st 2008 Alfa Laval has further
developed its AlfaCond
Plate condenser
concept with the
introduction of a
module for use with
condensing vacuum
steam from turbines
and other steam
consuming components
such as those used in
the power industry. It is
suitable for use with
low to medium flows of
steam.
AlfaCond is an
integrated system, pre-configured
with all sub-systems and
components required to ensure
efficient, reliable steam
condensation under the rated
design conditions. Different versions
are available with hourly capacities
to 60t of steam, and condensing
temperatures of 45 to
60C.
The plate surface
condenser is
complemented by a
condensate vessel,
pump equipment and
vacuum system and all
the requisite controls.
The modular design
makes installation
quick and
straightforward.
The unit provides
high thermal efficiency
in a compact design.
