Decanter updated July 1st 2008 A new energy efficient decanter
design from Westfalia Separator
produces high performance
dewatering with high throughput
capacities. The machine, part of a
new generation of decanters, has
been designed for industrial and
municipal environmental protection
applications.
The UCF 466 pedestal-mounted
design allows for the main motor to
be mounted above the axis of the
bowl and for the secondary motor
to be installed in-line, giving
improved torque performance and
operational efficiency. The bowl
can be disassembled and V belts
replaced without the need for
motors to be removed, saving time
and costs during maintenance work.
The special rotor geometry plus
high rotor speed guarantees a high
throughput capacity of more than
35m3/h. The company says that
compared to previous models at
this scale, the g-volume, which is
proportionate in throughput, has
been increased by around 70%.
The environmental decanter can
be mounted directly on two
concrete foundation strips from
which it is isolated dynamically by
shock absorbers on the underside
of the frame. More articles from Westfalia Separator Ltd: |
