Dry solution September 1st 2006 The Tornado drying system from Secomak has been designed to eliminate the dispersion of bacteria commonly associated with processes such as post pasteurisation.
The company says any system operating between 20 and 40C with a supply of nutrients such as rust, sludge, algae or scale, is at risk from bacteria formation. If droplets are produced, there is the potential for dispersal over a wide area, creating conditions for the legionella bacteria to create a serious health hazard.
The Tornado combats the risk by preventing such dispersal. Using aerodynamic surface agitation and water removal, it continuously removes bacteria-laden water from can tops or inverted bases without atomising, enabling diversion to a drain or UV/chemical treatment. More articles from Secomak Ltd: |
