Nitrogen generated on-demand September 1st 2011 Nitrogen generators from Hi-line
Industries can be matched to
individual site requirements for
economy and performance. Nitrogen
is commonly used throughout
industries where safe, inert environments
are required, including the
petroleum, chemical, pharmaceutical,
paint and varnish industries as well as
in ferrous and non-ferrous metal
production, together with electronic
and glass production.
Historically, nitrogen used for
processing applications has been
supplied in tankers and stored on-site.
However, using a nitrogen generator
offers a practical alternative.
With the Hi-line equipment,
compressed air is generated and
treated by drying to a -70°C dewpoint
with all oil removed by activated
carbon filters. This is then stored in
an air receiver prior to entry into the
nitrogen generator on demand, when
oxygen and other trace element gases
are removed using the PSA (Pressure
Swing Adsorption) principle. More articles from Hi-Line Industries Ltd: |
