July 1st 2010

In order to guide power, data and other media safely through rotary motions in small spaces, complicated and expensive solutions are often required. With the compact igus TwisterBand, rotations can now be guided and managed in confined spaces, in a cost-effective way and with very little wear.

TwisterBand allows rotary movements of up to +/-1500° with speeds of up to 380°/s possible. A compact and lightweight modular system, it requires minimal area for installation. No guide is required, it is easy to fill and can be used horizontally or vertically.

Applications include aerospace, robots, wind turbines and leisure rides.
