Spiral heat exchanger
May 1st 2009

The latest version of Alfa Laval's Spiral Heat Exchanger(ALSHE), the ALSHE LTL60, has been developed to provide an economical solution to liquid/liquid heat transfer duties where fouling is a problem in the chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical and other process industries.

Used for heating, cooling or heat recovery, the ALSHE LTL60 includes a number of features designed to enhance thermal performance and simplify service and maintenance.

Fabricated from two concentric shells, the ALSHE LTL60 can incorporate channels from 8 to 16mm in width; enabling it to handle viscous and particulate-bearing fluids with minimal risk of fouling. The unit also incorporates a much larger heat transfer area (HTA) than normal and the removable/replaceable inner core makes service faster and simpler.
