ATEX pump solution
May 1st 2005

A crypton coated, ATEXcertified, dry vacuum pump from Busch (UK) has been installed at Robinson Brothers’ factory in the West Midlands.

The NF.0160.A Cobra pump will work with a Hastelloy filter dryer for processes that involve methanol, isopropanol, toluene, acetic acid and traces of hydrochloric acid.

This chemical cocktail required a specialist vacuum pump to prevent corrosion, while still confirming with ATEX standards.

Cobra is said to be economical due to its low energy consumption. Its state of the art design conforms to Category 1 directive 94/9/EG (ATEX 100a) and it is available with various sealing options to suit the differing needs.
