Less water equals smaller footprint May 1st 2008 Sanofi Aventis, a pharmaceutical
company, has asked Grundfos to
help meet its on-site water
requirements at its pharmaceutical
production site in Dagenham,
Essex. Water for production on this
site is critical and Sanofi wanted a
more reliable system that also had
the potential to save on energy
costs.
Grundfos fitted a Hydro MPC
(Multi Pump Controller) booster set
with 3 x CRE32-3 (Variable Speed
Multistage Centrifugal) pumps. The
booster set was selected to
provide the water supply to the
entire site covering both
production and building service
applications. The solution only
provides the level of water
required, saving a minimum of
£50,000 per annum on electricity –
which in turn has
reduced the
carbon footprint
of the plant. More articles from Grundfos Pumps Ltd: |
