Pumps for tough tasks
January 1st 2007

Dosing and metering applications in chemical, general process and oil production industries often involve hazardous fluids such as methanol and glycol which place tough demands on pumps.

Primeroyal dosing pumps from Milton Roy UK are of a robust design based upon the simple concept of a variable eccentric mechanism that ensures optimum reliability and easy maintenance.

A recent application involved pumping liquified propane at flows to 22m3/h at an LNG import terminal.

Pumps, supplied in triplex format, were powered by a 75kw motor and featured automatic flow adjustment provided via pneumatic controllers. They were ATEX certified and met API 675 specifications.

Flow rates are to 4410L/h at pressures to 500bar (L model) and to 8929L/h, pressures to 500 bar (N version). Modifications can be specified.
