Resists corrosives
November 1st 2006

The new Finnish Thompson DB series of sealless, plastic magnetic drive centrifugal pumps are designed to withstand the effects of corrosive fluids.

Available through Michael Smith Engineers, the pumps are said to promise outstanding reliability and efficiency due to their advanced engineering CFD (computational fluid dynamics) design and magnetic flux technology.

Constructed from Polypropylene or PVDF, they are designed to resist the effects of the most corrosive chemicals and are an alternative to mechanically sealed pumps used in a wide range of applications.

Benefits claimed include dryrunning ability to hep protect the pump from operator errors or system interruptions, easy to setup drive positioning, and easy motor installation.

The pumps are designed for high pressure working (to 90psi) which allows fluids to be pumped safely while protecting against unexpected surges in system pressure.
