Smooth operators
July 1st 2008

Suitable for pumping applications such as boiler feed, high pressure cooling, refrigeration and CIP chemical feed, the MTH range from Pump Engineering comprises regenerative turbine pumps that are available as direct drive, bareshaft, magnetic drive and canned rotor pumps.

Features include a low flow at high pressure, very low NPSH for high temperature or low vapour pressure, long-life and a smooth, balanced performance.

The regenerative turbine pump is characterised by its special impeller design, where the impeller has a large number of blades machined into its periphery.

The impeller is able to float freely and find its own equilibrium which ensures long-life, smooth and balanced performance and minimises leakage between the high pressure exit and impeller inlet.

The regenerative turbine pump can generate a steeply rising head curve between minimum and maximum flow which ensures accurate flow control and stable operation. The standard range covers capacities from 1 to 150 gallons/min; pressures to 1000psi.
